Thanks for checking us out!

Welcome to First Baptist Church of Clifton! We are glad you have found our website and are interested in learning more about our church family. Whether you have grown up in church your entire life, or this is your first time considering church, we welcome you to join our community of faith and fellowship.  No matter what stage of life you are in - single, married, with/without children, in a mess, or on track, we want you to know that you are valuable to God and to our community. We have a place for you to fit in, to meet new people, and to serve in ministry with us. We hope that you will visit us at FBC Clifton, and experience the love of Jesus Christ through our ministry team and our church family.

FBC Clifton exists to develop and cultivate personal relationships with Jesus Christ in a community environment by faith and fellowship. We seek to teach the Bible in a way that the truth of God's Word will help people face the real challenges of life. We are passionate about seeing the gospel of Jesus Christ change peoples lives, and give them a new beginning.

There are many ways for you to get involved at FBC Clifton. To view our weekly schedule of services click here.

So, you have questions...

What should I wear?

  • We believe that God cares much more about what's on the inside of a person than on outward appearances, so we hope you will dress comfortably and modestly.  We also believe that our Sunday morning worship gatherings are a sacred time, and therefore many people choose to "dress up."  You will find many people in casual attire, and a few people in suits.
  • Know you will be welcomed and accepted no matter what you wear.

What will I experience?

  • We gather on Sunday mornings to worship God through music, prayer, scripture reading, and sermon.  We sing hymns and worship songs from many styles and time periods accompanied by piano, organ, drums, guitars and other instruments occaisionally.  Each time we gather, we pray for God to speak to us individually and corporately and seek to respond to God in faith.

Can I bring the kids?

  • Yes you can! We would love for your entire family to be a part of our church family.  Children are a vital part of our community and have a great time learning about the love of God.
  • Your children are welcome in worship with you, or we have a separate children’s service during our 11:00 AM. service for children who are potty trained through Kindergarten.  Children will be invited to go out to children's church following the children's sermon.  We call this our Extended Session.  There children will have a snack and an age appropriate lesson.  For smaller children, we have a wonderful nursery available during our services.

How do I get connected?

  • The simplest way to get connected is to just show up. Our hope is that our church family will welcome you into our community. Joining a Sunday School class is a great way to meet new people and get involved.   How do I become a member? We'd love for you to come and join our community!  Here are the ways folks join us.

  1. 1.  Baptism following a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ
  2. 2.  By transfer of letter from another Baptist church
  3. 3.  By statement of faith in Jesus Christ.
